No two days are alike: System administration at KTI
For several years now, July 28 has been marked in the calendars of all IT professionals: it is System Administrator Day. This day highlights the important work of administrators, who often work behind the scenes. And rightly so! Every day, they ensure that everything runs smoothly—and that everyone else can do their job. This is a good opportunity to briefly introduce our administrator.
Niklas Thiele is responsible for system administration at KTI. He ensures that all systems, servers, switches, and telephone systems run smoothly so that his colleagues can work without any problems. He also heads up the Technology & Support department. His working day is characterized by the fact that no two days are the same. He particularly enjoys this variety in his field of work: “New technologies constantly create new challenges – so it never gets boring.”
Being able to continuously develop and learn new things is an important motivator for our administrator. Another reason why he enjoys coming to work every day is his colleagues and the working atmosphere: “Everything here is done on an equal footing, and I have a modern, very well-equipped workplace.”
